Ophtek Founder to Present on AI Threats at SAFE Conference. AI is changing the way businesses operate and how cybercriminals attack them. Ophtek founder Arash Shokouh is set to give a speech on how to stay secure.
What the Session Covers
Arash will take to the stage at the 2026 SAFE International Conference on October 30th, from 1:20 to 2:20pm. His session is titled “Protecting Your Business from Modern AI Threats.” With the risks of AI now making headlines on an almost daily basis, Arash plans to discuss what this means in practice and what organizations can do about it. For forensic professionals, it’s an important subject. Dealing with sensitive records every day, they need to know how to stay safe.
By the end of the hour, participants will know how to keep their work secure. Arash will show attendees how to catch trouble early, focusing on the first warning signs of an attack. He will also look at the modern threat of AI-driven scams and contemporary viruses aimed at businesses. Data theft will also be on the table, with Arash concentrating on the associated black market risks. To tie everything together, he will also get practical. Demonstrating proven strategies that improve cybersecurity defenses, he will underline how to strengthen IT policies.
What is SAFE?
SAFE was founded in 2012 to help forensic document examiners learn from one another. Since then, it has grown significantly. While most members of SAFE are based in the United States, they also have members in eight countries in total across the globe.
Education is the main objective of the group. Each month there’s an hour-long online seminar. This is given by a whole range of experts who work within the legal system. Members need to earn 20 continuing education points a year to keep their membership. They also agree to a strict code of ethics. Break it, and they can be removed. SAFE is an organization that takes its mission seriously.
How Can Arash Help?
Arash is well placed to help strengthen IT security. He has spent 25 years in engineering, IT and security. Arash started his career as a computer engineer at IBM. Here, he underlined his credentials by working on some of the world’s fastest data center systems. He achieved his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at San Jose State University, and he later went on to lecture there on digital design.
Arash is a regular speaker at business conferences and brings a wealth of knowledge to the stage. His speech at the 2026 SAFE International Conference will prove this once again.
